On Friday 18th May 2018, Callie popped the question and asked Rijane to marry him.
Callie had to attend a golf tour in Cape Town. This gave him the perfect opportunity to surprise his long-term girlfriend of 3 years. Rijane is studying her PhD in Potchefstroom but would come to Cape Town to visit.
Callie had a clear idea of what he wanted for his ‘perfect proposal’. He was looking for beautiful views at a private picnic area, as this is their favourite date night. In his own words, “I want the best views in nature, she loves nature. I would like to enjoy a picnic and celebrate the best day of my life with the girl of my dreams”. The 12 Apostles offered the ideal location for his idea. As an extra surprise, he booked a 1-night stay at the hotel and a spa treatment.
On the day we set-up at the picnic spot, we used red & pink roses as this is on trend as well as her favourite colours. They worked so well as the colours just popped against the mountain fynbos. We set-up a frame with a ‘will you marry me’ sign on the table. We also included her favourite chocolates in a special box for them to enjoy at a later stage. The weather was amazing, not a breath of wind and sunny skies. The scene was set and now all we needed was the beautiful couple. A photographer, Jilda, hide quietly in the bushes to watch for their arrival.
Callie walked Rijane down the rose covered path to the table, where he asked the women of his dreams to marry him. She said YES!! What a lovely moment it was!
Callie and Rijane picnic marriage proposal was stunning, what a fun young couple with so much excitement ahead. Congratulations and may all your dreams come true.
