Russell and Hannah Proposal on Table Mountain

On the 11th February 2018, Russell asked the women of his dreams to marry him!

This lovely couple came on holiday to Cape Town, while here they were celebrating their 3 year anniversary of being together. Russell thought this was the perfect time to pop the question! They live in England and work at the same law firm.

Russell knew exactly how he wanted to pop the question, the venue was the iconic Table Mountain.

For those who don’t know, Table Mountain got its name for its uncanny resemblance to a table. And the man who first made the connection was Portuguese explorer, Antonio de Saldanha. In 1503, he became the first white man to hike up Table Mountain and named it Taboa do Cabo – Table of the Cape.

Table Mountain was the venue that was set in his mind from the beginning. As the date approached and we got chatting to Russell we noticed the weather for his chosen date was not looking too good. If there is wind or low clouds, the cableway closes and might not reopen that day. After some discussion, we all decided not to risk it and change the date to the Sunday.

Russell wanted the mountain as quiet as possible so they took the first cable car up. Lesley our wonderful photographer secretly followed them up. Little did Hannah know that there was someone taking photos 🙂

Russell found his perfect spot and asked Hannah to marry him, she said yes!! Hannah’s reaction was priceless, the photo speaks a thousand words.

Russell and Hannah Proposal on Table Mountain was magical. Congrats to this lovely couple, may all your dreams come true!
