On the 9th November 2017, Srikesh asked Reyna to marry him.

Wow, we are just blown away by this magical proposal. Srikesh mentioned a hot air balloon ride from when we first started chatting. We sent other ideas but he kept thinking about the balloon ride. We are SO excited he did as it was the most amazing experience.

We booked them a private hot air balloon ride, that takes off in Stellenbosch and floats over the Winelands. It was an early start as they had to arrive by 5 am. The hardest challenge about this proposal was trying to figure a way to get her there without being too suspicious. I mean who wakes up at 4 am in the morning when you on holiday. Srikesh managed to convince her they were going on an early wine tour and as it was far away, they needed to arrive early. Champagne breakfast anyone? 🙂

An early start for us all but worth the excitement. When driving there we saw a few raindrops and was worried it might be cancelled. It can be cancelled on the smallest weather conditions but luckily it cleared up. We hung a small “marry me” sign on the basket of the balloon before they arrived. The shuttle collected them from the parking area and brought them to the field where the hot air balloon was being set-up. It was such a sweet moment as she finally figured out why she was awake so early. Srikesh walked Reyna to the basket and asked her to be his wife, she said YES! After the celebrations they drank coffee & took photo’s, then the balloon was ready to go. They jumped in and floated away to watch the sunrise.
