The Rock proposal

On the 2nd of June 2021, James popped the question to Kerry-lee. She said YES!

This lovely couple got engaged on THE ROCK, in Bantry Bay. It is one of the most beautiful scenic spots in Cape Town. We love this location as it has incredible views of, mountains and the ocean. You overlook Lions head on one side and Clifton beaches on the other.

James wanted amazing views, a photographer to capture the moment, and some MCC to celebrate. This is exactly what we provided, Cape Town magic, moments captured and bubbly.

Kerry-lee is a huge fan of penguins, thus we had to include one in the proposal. We brought one of the biggest stuffed penguins we could find, tied a postcard around its neck, and put a lovely breakfast box together. This was placed on the rock for their arrival. We always like to add their favourite items to our boxes, these are personalized designed, and created for each couple. For example, supplying them with their best foods, drinks, chocolates, and sweets. They are created to suit the proposal idea, time of day, and location.

On arrival, James led Kerry-lee to the “proposal spot” and asked the love of his life to marry him. She spotted the penguin and turned over the postcard of Cape Town, this said “will you marry me?” There were tears and hugs while he placed the engagement ring on her finger. Sian, our lovely photographer captured the proposal from another rock. There is always a time after the proposal, that we give the couple a moment to themselves, to catch their breath and savour what just happened. It is important to us that they feel it is THEIR moment and we are assisting to plan, rather than draw attention.
