Romantic dinner proposal

On the 2nd of December 2021, Uvir and Divaksha got engaged!

This lovely couple has been together for 8 years, so the time was right to pop the question.

Divaksha loves orchids and dressing up for occasions, so this was a central theme on the day. Uvir had booked to stay in Franschhoek for the night. There would be a couple of friends who would join them at the venue. Just another surprise for the lovely Divaksha. We booked them for dinner at La Residence, a stunning location in the heart of this wonderful town. A romantic dinner proposal was on the cards that night.

We used roses, orchids and a marry me sign as decor, which created a simple, yet beautiful area for the proposal.

Uvir told us the following; “She always wanted to propose under the Northern Lights. But this would be the next best proposal.

I will be in position waiting for her to arrive. She’ll be looking beautiful as always. When she arrives she will be under the impression that it’s just a fancy dinner. Once she realises what’s happening
I will express my love for her and then finally get on one knee.”

The above is exactly what happened, on their arrival, they walked down to the tea house, she had no idea what was happening. Uvir got on one knee and popped the question. We had signs made for them that said, I asked and finally, which was what he felt.

Congrats to his happy couple on their engagement, we wish them all the best for a happy and adventurous future.

Grande Provence marriage proposal

Grande Provence marriage proposal

On the 26th of November 2021, Milan and Phyllicia got engaged!

Milan contacted us as he needed assistance putting his whole idea together. It was a really lovely idea that incorporated the tram ride in Franschhoek, this tram stops as serval wine farms for wine tastings and lunch. We suggested the “best” wine farm for his occasion, this was Grande Provence. This wine farm is a hidden gem, the areas for photos are just incredible.

“Sitting in the magnificent Franschhoek Valley in South Africa’s Western Cape, her lush vines spread across 47-acres with gentle vistas over the valley floor, with the rugged mountains beyond. This is heartland South African wine country at its very finest.”

The lovely Sian was booked to capture the proposal. On the day Milan and Phyllicia enjoyed the wine tour, stopping at Rickety Bridge for lunch. The last stop was Grande Provence, where the big moment would happen. The rain somehow stayed at bay so the outside area was used. Once they reached the proposal spot, Milan asked the girl of his dreams to marry him, she said YES!

We wish them all the best in a happy and wonderful life together. Grande Provence marriage proposal is a great option for Franschhoek wine farm ideas.

“I choose you. And I’ll choose you, over and over and over. Without pause, without doubt, in a heartbeat. I’ll keep choosing you.”

Ibrahim and Andrea proposal at La Residence

Pippa Lund — Mon, 04 Feb 2019 15:20:24 +0000

On Friday the 18th of January 2019, Ibrahim and his girlfriend Andrea got engaged at the beautiful La Residence Hotel in Franschhoek.

This special couple met at work and have been dating for five years. They love going to the beach, going for long drives along the coast and eating out at great restaurants together.

After reviewing the options we sent him for his special day, Ibrahim decided he wanted to go with the beautiful La Residence Hotel. He just wanted a simple set up, just some petals and champagne for the two of them, followed by a delicious dinner. He had initially asked that we set up in the tea house in the garden, however, the weather was chilly on the day and too windy to sit outside, so we moved the set up to the library area upstairs in the lodge. We opened the doors up and set up the champagne and glasses on a small table on the balcony, overlooking the breath-taking views over Franschhoek. We arranged the white rose petals in the shape of a heart before the door so they could see it as they came up the stairs into the library.

Ibrahim and Andrea arrived at the lodge and were offered a ‘tour’ of the hotel before dinner. As they walked up the stairs into the library, Ibrahim couldn’t wait until he got to the top of the stairs and started proposing already! He said he had had the ring made for Andrea three years ago as he already knew then that he wanted to marry her. Of course, she said yes!

Ibrahim and Andrea proposal at La Residence was beautiful. We absolutely loved planning their proposal and wish them all the happiness together in their future.

We offer lovely garden proposal which are part of our popular packages, have a look online for more info.

“Photograph”

Loving can hurt
Loving can hurt sometimes
But it’s the only thing that I know
When it gets hard
You know it can get hard sometimes
It is the only thing that makes us feel aliveWe keep this love in a photograph
We made these memories for ourselves
Where our eyes are never closing
Hearts are never broken
Times forever frozen stillSo you can keep me
Inside the pocket
Of your ripped jeans
Holdin’ me closer
‘Til our eyes meet
You won’t ever be alone
Wait for me to come home

Loving can heal
Loving can mend your soul
And it’s the only thing that I know (know)
I swear it will get easier
Remember that with every piece of ya
And it’s the only thing we take with us when we die

We keep this love in this photograph
We made these memories for ourselves
Where our eyes are never closing
Our hearts were never broken
Times forever frozen still

So you can keep me
Inside the pocket
Of your ripped jeans
Holdin’ me closer
‘Til our eyes meet
You won’t ever be alone

And if you hurt me
That’s OK, baby, only words bleed
Inside these pages you just hold me
And I won’t ever let you go

Wait for me to come home

Oh you can fit me
Inside the necklace you got when you were 16
Next to your heartbeat
Where I should be
Keep it deep within your soul

And if you hurt me
Well, that’s OK, baby, only words bleed
Inside these pages you just hold me
And I won’t ever let you go

When I’m away
I will remember how you kissed me
Under the lamppost
Back on 6th street
Hearing you whisper through the phone,
“Wait for me to come home.”

Marc & Candice Proposal

Pippa Lund — Mon, 31 Aug 2015 15:58:27 +0000

On the 22nd July 2015 Marc and Candice got engaged.
Marc from the beginning knew exactly what Candice would love! He wanted to find that perfect gazebo in a garden and fill it with her favorite flowers. The one he loved most was the gazebo at Boschendal in Franschhoek. Its a really beautiful love story that they share… she is South African and he is from Switzerland. She is now moving countries to be with him and start a new life together. A perfect gazebo proposal would show how much he loves her!

On the day of the proposal we were very excited, the gazebo was to be filled with lilies as these are her favorite. We used lots of petals and candles that lit up the entrance. The gazebo is right next to the lake and has lovely views of the gardens and surrounding mountains. On arrival, their favorite song played while Marc took Candice’s hand and asked her to dance. The song was: Everyone’s got something by Perrin Lamb, oh my what a romantic song! During this he got on one knee and asked for her to marry him… she said YES! Candice is in the diamond industry so she choose the most stunning diamond ring!! We think diamonds are girls best friends.

They popped the bubbly and Nicola took some photo’s of the newly engaged couple!
After it was getting dark, they moved to their room where they stayed up all night talking about their exciting future together. Boschendal has some cottages that are ideal for a romantic getaway. The fire places were lit and we had pre-ordered in some sushi for their dinner.

We wish them all the best for a very happy future together. They deserve all the happiness in the world.
