She said YES!

They are both from Durban and came on holiday to Cape Town for the week. They have been together for two magical years.

Ashiel contacted us, asking for help with setting up the perfect proposal. He told us that Ramola loves the colours lavender and lilac. The couple also loves spending time in the outdoors, enjoy whale watching and wildlife. Ashiel wanted to propose at a beautiful and private area somewhere in nature.

We decided on the 12 Apostles picnic area, which is a hidden gem, nestled just below the mountains and has spectacular views of the ocean. We set the scene and made the picnic area look stunning, with beautiful flowers on the table, a fruit platter and chocolates. With the couple being Hindu, they were in the middle of celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi and Ashiel had asked us to put a gold elephant statue on the table, as it was very symbolic to them.

The couple arrived at the hotel and were lead to their picnic area. Lying on the table was a photo book of their “story”. This book had various numbers on different pages that Ramola had to use to crack the code to open the treasure box. Once she had finally cracked the code and was able to open the treasure box, she read a note that said ‘will you marry me’ and Ashiel got onto one knee to pop the question.

After both their nerves had calmed, they enjoyed a glass of champagne while looking at the gorgeous views over Llandudno. The photographer captured the moment and took a few fun shots of the couple afterwards. The couple spent the night at the hotel and went for a romantic dinner to celebrate their engagement.

Congratulations! Ashiel and Ramola treasure box proposal was stunning. We wish you all the happiness with your future together!

Josh contacted us as he required assistance to set up a perfect proposal, the theme: Disney! Demie apparently LOVES Disney movies so we were very excited to put this together for them.

The first step was deciding the venue, we knew the 12 Apostles hotel was one of the only hotels with a private cinema thus this was the chosen venue. Josh being a nature lover wanted to pop the question outside. So incorporating movies and nature the plan was set.

Demie and Josh arrived in Cape Town from Joburg. They came down to stay for a weekend getaway. First, they checked into their sea-facing suite at the hotel. They freshened up, got dressed and came down to reception to meet us. Once here they separated and Josh went to the picnic area and Demie to the private cinema. Demie then watched a movie of their “story”.  A short film we had put together of their relationship, obviously with Josh’s help. We also decorated the cinema with balloons and movie treats so she knew something was “up” on arrival. After the movie was finished, we led her to the mountain where she followed Disney themed love signs all the way to find Josh. Josh was standing waiting for his princess to arrive, with balloons from the Movie UP in the background.

Demie approached Josh and he went down on his knee to ask the girl of his dreams to marry him. She said YES! Wow, what a moment, it was beautiful!!  Lesley captured the whole proposal on film and took some photo’s afterwards of the happy couple.

The surprises were not finished yet, after the picnic, Josh led Demie back to the cinema where they watched her favourite Disney movie of all time, ALADDIN. They had a private viewing in the cinema with popcorn, cold drinks, sweets and chocolates. This was heaven for any Disney fan 🙂

Josh and Demie Disney Marriage Proposal was magical! We were so happy to be involved in this exciting event. A huge congrats to them and may all their dreams come true.

Alex and Kendal have been together for 8 years! Kendal was worried that Alex was never going to arrange it was he was taking his time… 🙂 They met when they were still at school and have spent so many years together creating happy memories.  After they got together, they have never looked back! We had photo’s printed to hang at the proposal, it just showed us how much they have already been through.

As they know each other so well, it was hard for Alex to plan the proposal without giving away too much. Kendal mentioned to us, she is the planner and had a suspicious feeling when he told her they were going for lunch. Alex just loved the idea of a picnic at the 12 Apostles Hotel. We arranged this for them and decorated the area with red roses and petals to add that romance. We hung the photo’s up on the path leading down to the picnic area.

On the day of the proposal, Alex led Kendal down the path of memories. He popped the question and she said yes! Kendal was laughing as Alex had a heart sign made that said: “He asked”, and she said: “About damn time”

We wish them all the best for their future together! Alex and Kendal oh so romantic proposal was one to remember for a long long time. We loved meeting and assisting the happy couple with their ‘perfect proposal’.

It was a very special day as it was Mark’s birthday that same day! Mark had come to us a while back and asked us plan his “perfect proposal”. He wanted to do it while on holiday in Cape Town as they were coming out for his birthday. Everything was set and ready for the big day, little did he know that Caroline has arranged a very similar idea for his birthday at the same venue. We say great minds think alike. This was now perfect as he decided to surprise her one step further and make it the same day as her surprise so she would really not suspect anything. The idea was a helicopter trip to the 12 Apostles hotel and spa. On arrival have a romantic dinner for two. She had organized a birthday cake for him which was kept a surprise. We added onto her “idea” with arriving at the hotel, then booking a separate area (a gazebo) for the proposal to happen before they had dinner. So in the end they both surprised each other and did what they both loved!

On the day, unfortunately the wind was very strong so the helicopter trip was cancelled. Typical Cape Town day, where the weather was not behaving! They arrived by shuttle and walked up to the gazebo, with Caroline very confused as to where she was going. Outside the gazebo we arranged a guitarist to sing their favorite song… “Tiny dancer by Elton John”. Angelo sang as they walked up the path covered in rose petals. Once inside the gazebo we had decorated it with all her favorite items! Pink roses, some very special bubbly, strawberries, lots of candles, fairy lights and a cute sign that he wanted made so they could remember this day forever…

The photographer, Lesley captured the whole proposal and had a small couples shoot after she said YES! After that they opened the bubbly and watched the sun set into the sea! The most amazing sunset proposal! They were protected from the hurling wind outside…which made it very romantic. Once the sun had set they went to the restaurant, Azure for dinner. Mark was then surprised with a cake for his birthday. Lots of organizing was done from us and the venue to pull this special day off.

They stayed at the beautiful Bay hotel, where we did a romantic turn down for them in their room. So after they returned form dinner the surprises continued.

They spend a couple of days in Cape Town, celebrating their engagement and then returned to the UK. Hope they are having lots of fun planning their wedding.

We wish them all the best of luck and happiness for the future together.

Coming all the way from Durban, Gavin decided Cape Town was the place to ask that all important question! After trying to plan it in Durban for a few months and being let down by his suppliers, he came to us asking for assistance. The three things that he wanted to include in the proposal was a helicopter ride, a photographer and good weather. Now the first two we can plan, the last element is a bit tricky! We checked the weather for him and the date was set! Holding thumbs the weather played along, then everything would be be perfect!

Gavin had told Viloshnie that he had won a competition from the company he worked for. They had promised a ride in a helicopter to a beautiful location where a photographer would take some photo’s. This is what we set-up for them! They arrived at the V&A Waterfront, enjoyed a quick helicopter ride to the 12 Apostles Hotel & Spa. When they landed we were there to welcome them. We then started taking photo’s and had a mini couples shoot on Table mountain. Its was a FABULOUS day! A sunny, rather warm day in the Cape in the middle of winter!!

We had discussed with Gavin how he was going to propose. The plan was coming along very nicely… Viloshnie was told she had to take some photo’s by herself. We then went to give Gavin the ring out of his bag, she was in the fore ground and him in the background on his knee. When Viloshnie turned around, she saw him! He popped the question and we popped the bubbly for them! What a perfect proposal it was, she was very surprised and very excited! Little did she know the rest of the day was filled with a romantic high tea for two, spa treatments and a fine dining dinner. They spend two days in Cape Town and enjoyed all the wonderful sights.

We wish them all the best on this happy journey together! Congrats again and we still can not believe how amazing the weather was that day, at least all three elements came together perfectly. A perfect proposal for a perfect couple!
