Sunset Rock proposal

On the 6th of October 2022, this lovely couple got engaged at one of our all-time favourite locations in Cape Town: Sunset Rock.

Big rock is situated in Bantry bay which has unbeatable ocean views overlooking Clifton beaches, Table Mountain, and Lions Head… Once on the rocks, you have 360-degree views, which is just perfect!

At certain times (particularly in the morning) the rocks are empty and you will have this area to yourself, but it has become a popular sunset spot, so when the weather is good, it can be busy in the evenings, which is why we suggested that Novash proposes in the morning. Bear this in mind if you looking for a private spot, this one can be popular.

On the day the couple arrived and were instructed to follow the path of rose petals from the car park to The Rock. We had placed a marry me sign up for their arrival and had set up a lovely picnic, with picnic blankets, scatter cushions, flowers, a bottle of MCC, and a wonderful platter of picnic snacks.

The photographer, Sian, captured the big moment from the Rock directly behind and then did a short couples shoot with them. After all the photos we left for them to enjoy some quiet time and soak up the special moment.
