On the 21st September Sunny and Raksha had the most amazing art gallery proposal. It was a day filled with surprises.

They have been together for 5 years, so Sunny decided it was time to put a ring on her finger. When we first spoke to Sunny he asked us to give him very different and unique ideas. He wanted it to be something she would not expect. We usually ask this question: public vs private as most couples want it to be in a private location. Sunny did not mind and suggested that a busy place would be best. Raksha is an accountant and has a huge passion for art and music, they two things she really loves. To quote Sunny: “Music is everything to her”.

Taking the above into account we sent him loads of ideas and he finally decided he wanted to propose in an art gallery. We had to incorporated her two passions into their special day. The location was found – Youngblood on Bree street. A stunning art gallery that’s hip and modern. We hired in professional musicians to sing their favorite songs accompanied by the guitar. A duet from Shake & Bake entertainment. Their music brought tears of joy to everyone’s eyes!

Arriving form Durban, Sunny & Raksha enjoyed the weekend in Cape Town. She did not expect an engagement on their last afternoon of their holiday. Sunny had told her they were going to the Pharell concert as it was showing at Grand West that evening. Little did she know their was a surprise before the show. They entered the art gallery and walked around to view the art. We had the set-up ready and waiting, red roses, her favorite chocolates, singers and a photographer to capture the whole proposal. Sunny’s idea was to enter the room and view the art, then the last picture was the canvas we had made for him which said “will you marry me”. This was placed under a cloth, so as it was revealed she could not believe her eyes. Sunny popped the question and she said YES. With music in the background and photo’s being taken Raksha was a very happy lady. They called family and friends immediately to tell them the good news. The most amazing art gallery proposal ever…

We commend Sunny as he broke his ankle in a fall about a week before the proposal. He still wanted to go through with it… so no going on one knee this time but we forgive him 🙂 What a trooper!
