On the 25th October 2016, Pieter and Annelies got engaged.

Pieter approached us to assist with his proposal as they were coming on holiday to Cape Town. They traveled all over South Africa and experienced some amazing places. One of the last stops was staying at The Last Word in Kommetjie. He wanted to make it special so it all about the details.

The proposal was planned, it would happen on Long beach in front of the hotel. The hotel offered some bubbly and The Perfect Proposal team set-up the rest of the scene. We used red roses petals to spell out “marry me” which was written in the sand.  We ordered in delicious macarons in a special box from Cassis. We hung up some bunting flags and red roses to decorate the area. The last detail was to buy a fake diamond ring so he could use that on the day. He had left the real one behind in Belgium due to them traveling extensively. This created another surprise for Annelies when they returned home. She would be able to see her real diamond ring – yay!

On the day, we set-up in a quiet spot on Long Beach. There were surfers in the ocean and people walking their dogs, just a normal sunny day. Pieter and Annelies woke up and Pieter told her they were going to Table Mountain. They drove half way there and Pieter complained of a headache so they would need to return to the hotel. This was obviously all a white lie to get Annelies to the beach in secret. He mentioned to her a walk on the beach might help him. They arrived on the beach and walked to the spot, Annelies then saw what was actually happening. Pieter asked that important questions and she said YES!

After the excitement, they enjoyed a photo shoot on the beach. Then poured some bubbly and relaxed in the sunshine. We met them afterward to say congrats. What a very special couple.  The next surprise was a romantic lunch at Harbour House in Kalk Bay.

Pieter and Annelies Kommetjie beach proposal was unforgettable! We wish them all the best on this happy journey towards becoming husband and wife.
