Mashadi and Simba Inimitable Wedding
On the 17th of September 2022, Mashadi and Simba said I DO!
Mashadi first contacted us while we were planning her friend’s wedding. She was looking for a wedding planner that was organised and that she could trust and she had heard we could fit this bill! Simba had proposed a few months before in Cape Town on the beach with the most spectacular view of Table Mountain in the background.
When we first chatted, they had picked the most stunning wedding venue in Johannesburg, Inimitable. And they had their DJ and photographer booked. Now they needed help making their black, white, and marble dream wedding come to life and it was our honour to assist!
We started with the lovely Sulit Designs to make their wedding website and digital invitation and booked and consulted with Zavion Kotze Flowers to create a lifelike version of their mood board, created by us. There were beautiful, big, billowing clouds of baby’s breath hanging from the ceiling, orchids and black candles, black rim glass charger plates, and black tiffany chairs. Seeing Mashadi walk down the black, shiny, ABS aisle while a violinist played was truly breathtaking! Her makeup and hair were impeccably done by the talented Precious Xaba and Lelo’s Hair Artistry. Simba looked so smart in his black Tuxedo by David Harris. And the marble décor elements really came through in the beautiful stationery by JP Design. Blow Electro music played everyone into the sunset at canapes which was such a vibe! The food consisted of a mouth-watering sushi station at canapes, a prawn pasta starter, and a choice of rib-eye or lamb neck for mains. Andrew Draper’s food truly is sensational! The three-tier, marble, and gold leaf wedding cake was so delicious by The Baker Boys.
The day ran perfectly on time with picture-perfect weather and a beautiful sunset. One of the bridesmaids suffered a minor mishap with her dress but The Perfect Proposal always comes prepared and a needle and thread fixed the issue! The speeches from some of their nearest and dearest helped bring a truly personal element to their wedding with lots of laughs and sentimental words, and then the dancefloor helped close off an already perfect day!
