Layton and Lerato picnic proposal

On the 16th of October 2020, Layton and Lerato got engaged!

We were thrilled to assist this happy couple with their engagement. They both live and work in Joburg and have been together for 2 years! While in Cape Town he wanted to pop the question, his brief was it for it to be memorable and take great pictures. The venue needed to have AMAZING views and be private. The 12 Apostles hotel was the final choice and matched his brief perfectly!

On the day it was beautiful weather with clear views of the ocean and mountains. We greeted them in reception and walked them up the mountain path to the picnic site. Once here we left them and they continued their walk-up…

The table was set with a frame that said: “Hug me, kiss me, love me, marry me” this was positioned on the table with a lovely bouquet of flowers. On their arrival, Lesley was waiting for them as he captured their proposal on video and photos. As you see below, there was a small drone to capture their big day. We LOVED seeing Lerato’s reaction, she was soooo excited, she was shaking, crying, jumping, and overall thrilled how her day turned out. Layton went down on one knee and asked her the magic question, “will you marry me?” Lerato said YES!

After the emotions subsided, they enjoyed a couple’s shoot on the property. There are such stunning views and locations for a photo shoot, which they loved. As Lesley says: “live the moment and we’ll capture it forever”. Once the photos were done, their picnic food arrived and they sat down to celebrate their engagement.

Layton and Lerato picnic proposal was perfect. We wish this lovely couple a wonderful future together for many years to come.
