Kyle & Amanda got engaged on the 14th January 2014. It was a perfect picnic in the forest.

They met in a bar in downtown San Diego, that is where Amanda comes from, Kyle was working on the boats and stopped off there. He is South African and thought Amanda would love to visit and on that visit he wanted to propose! The perfect time and place to surprise her!

Kyle wanted something special for the proposal, he wanted it to be private, with views and not in the city. He wanted it to be elegant but surrounded by nature. Silvermist was the perfect setting for this request!

We arranged the picnic and deco in the forest where they would be all alone. The photographer would be hiding in the bushes waiting to capture the proposal. The whole day was planned and organized so they day of touring. They got collected in the morning by a private shuttle (Trek Direct) which took them to wine farms in the Constantia area. They visited Eagles Nest, Klein Constantia, Steenberg to name a few. They arrived at Silvermist expecting another tasting but it was the big proposal! They walked down the path and to the hidden location where Kyle said those magic words… “will you marry me?” Amanda said YES! After this they enjoyed a romantic picnic, popped the champagne and celebrated while enjoying the views of Table Mountain. It was such a beautiful proposal picnic in the forest.
