On Saturday the 30th of March, Don and Hazel got engaged!

This lovely couple is from Singapore and came to South Africa on holiday together for the first time. They have been dating for just over two years and met on a dating app. They love watching Netflix together and enjoy travelling. They would love to visit London together one day.

Don contacted us because he wanted to arrange something very special for Hazel when he asked her to marry him. He wanted to take a helicopter somewhere romantic where they could have a private space and some drinks and food. He also specified there needed to be lots of flowers as she loves flowers.

We suggested the beautiful Jordan wine farm and Don loved the idea! So we got to work organising all of the details for his big day. We organised the helicopter ride and photographer for them and then set up a special picnic spot on top of a hill overlooking Cape Town with Table Mountain in the distance. We set out a picnic blanket and some pillows next to wine barrels and then put together some beautiful flower arrangements next to the blanket. We put pretty ribbons between the wine barrels and pink petals all over the picnic blanket.

Don and Hazel arrived in the helicopter and Lesley was there to take photo’s of them as they landed. Don told Hazel he had won a photoshoot so she wouldn’t be suspicious. Next up, they got on a 4×4 for a drive through the vineyards. They stopped for a tasting along the way, before getting back on the truck to go to the special set-up. When Hazel got off the truck, she was so excited to see what Don had organised for her. He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said yes!

Don and Hazel fabulous proposal will be remembered for a long time! We loved organising this proposal for this lovely couple and wish them every happiness in their future together.
