On the 4th August 2018, Brendun asked his girlfriend to marry him. Andrea said YES!

They both live in Johannesburg and came down to Cape Town for a romantic getaway. Brendun wanted to explore and experience Cape Town to its fullest. The chosen idea for the proposal was a beach set-up. We recommended Bakoven beach as it’s a local’s favourite. (shhhh…tell no-one) He wanted something simple but romantic that would show how much he loves her.

We contacted him a few days before the event day with concerns about the weather. As we all know Cape Town weather can be unpredictable. Rain and low clouds was predicted for the whole day, which would not be ideal for a becah set-up. We spoke to him a couple of times about plan B and using his hotel. However the day before we took the chance and said the beach might work out. Times were changed and the plan was set. We were all holding thumbs that the rain stayed away and his dream would become a reality.

On the day, they were so lucky to have the beach to themselves. The rocks were chosen as the proposal spot as the views are just lovely from here. (We also did not want them to sit on wet sand as it had rained that morning). On their arrival, the clouds rose and it got warmer, we are so happy the beach set-up was possible. Brendun popped the question while the photographer captured it on film. We also say clouds make for the best lighting, as you can see from the photos. This very sweet couple enjoyed a fun photoshoot with Jilda and celebrated afterwards.
