BRANDON AND SHELAINE PROPOSAL AT WATERFRONT
On the 4th November 2018, Brandon asked his girlfriend Shelaine to marry him. She said YES!
The couple has been together for a year and eight months and lives in Joburg. They have known each other for many years and saw each other at a wedding, where they fell in love and started dating soon after. They enjoy the same things such as family, pets and movies.
It was their first time visiting Cape Town, so Brandon wanted to do all the touristy things. He wanted to propose on Table Mountain, however, the weather was not playing along. In typical Cape Town fashion, there was low cloud covering the mountain and a bit of rain, so the views from up top wouldn’t have been great. Table Mountain, Robben Island and tours around the city can be a fun way to pop the question, especially for those who haven’t done any of the tourist attractions before.
We advised Brandon the day before to rather be safe and have it at the waterfront, due to the weather being unpredictable. The couple had booked a tour of Robben Island afterwards, so we chatted to him and thought that maybe it would be an amazing opportunity to pop the question early in the morning at the waterfront when it was quiet.
As seen from the photos, it was well worth it. They got lots of private photos and moments. The whole idea of this proposal revolved around Brandon pretending to hire a photographer and do a couple’s photo shoot, where he would then propose halfway through. This way Shelaine would not suspect a thing. With Lesley’s help, he chose the right moment to pop the question and it was a success.
The couple went on a tour afterwards and enjoyed the day celebrating around Cape Town.
