Akona & Siyanda got engaged on the 1st December 2013. A Sharks rugby player’s marriage proposal…

As being a very busy man playing rugby for the Bulls he asked us to assist him with a special proposal for his lovely girlfriend. They have been together for 8 years so the time was right. He wanted something private, elegant and a complete surprise!

The venue needed to be in Joburg as they did not have time to go away for the weekend, we decided one night at a special place would be a great idea. The location was chosen, The View Boutique Hotel, in Auckland Park was perfect! A small 5-star boutique hotel which makes every guest feel welcome!

We arranged a dinner that night for the two of them, while she thought it might happen at dinner, we decided that the next morning at breakfast would be a big surprise.

The following day they woke up, after a grand night in their luxury suite. They came down for breakfast (how she thought nothing would happen) they got lead to a private table at the bottom of the garden which over looks the Joburg sky line. We had decorated the area with rose petals and items of purple as it is her favorite colour! An Ideal setting for a romantic proposal! She was in complete shock and said YES!
