On the 11th August 2018, Alwyn and Ross got engaged!
This lovely couple is from England, they were coming to Cape Town on holiday. They have been together for two years and two months.
Alwyn had a very clear idea of what he wanted from the start. Table Mountain was his ideal spot for a perfect proposal! He asked to book a photographer to take photo’s, as the views are incredible from up top. As they were waking up early and getting the first cable car up, a breakfast box was requested. We put together a box with delicious fruit, bubbly, croissants and orange juice.
On the day, the skies were clear and all was going to plan. They arrived and went up in the first car without waiting in long queues. However, when that got to the top it was FREEZING! A very chilly wind was blowing which meant staying up there a long time was unpleasant. Alwyn was brave and took the gap, he quickly walked to a viewpoint, he went down on one knee ~ asking Ross to marry him! He said YES!!!
Soon after the proposal, they had a few photos but came down to meet us to collect the breakfast box. It was too cold to have eaten at the top, so they choose another spot to enjoy brunch.
Alwyn really wanted to surprise Ross with cupcakes. We ordered some delicious chocolate ones from Charly’s Bakery, that said: “I love you”.
Wishing this gorgeous couple all the best for their future together. We are very glad their dreams came true and Alwyn could propose on Table Mountain. We hope to see them in Cape Town again soon.
