On the 1st April 2018, Jaco & Toinette got engaged!

They came down to the Cape to run the Two Oceans running race and while in town, Jaco decided it was time to pop the question. They are from Pretoria and had to fly back that Sunday afternoon. They had been together for 4 years and very happy to take the next step.

On the day, Jaco and Toinette arrived at Silvermist and we led them to the picnic area. Jaco slowly but surely walked Toinette down the path and onto the forest deck. We had decorated the deck with all her favourite roses, a soft pink. It really looked beautiful and had a relaxed feeling as he was tired from the race.

Jaco proposed as soon as they reached the deck, Kathryn followed behind to capture it on film. It was such a beautiful moment, and Toinette was so surprised!! She said YES!!! Although April fools day, Toinette did not take this as a joke, she was SO happy! They relaxed at the spot, had some bubbly, took pictures and ate delicious food.

Jaco and Toinette Forest proposal was magical. We wish them all the best in their future together! Come and visit in Cape Town again soon.
