On the 11th March 2017, Kershen and Andrisha got engaged!

They have been together for 3 years and Kershen decided it was time to pop the question. We sent him a bunch of ideas and the one that really stood out was an aeroplane flight. Now, this is a very special idea, we suggest early morning or sunset so it’s the best flying conditions. They can fly over the Vaal dam or Joburg CBD. Kershen chose to fly in the morning over the Vaal. The idea was as follows: arrive at the airstrip, they get briefed about safety and sign some forms. They then board the small aeroplane that flys them over the Vaal dam. The flight is about 1 hour in total…

Kershen’s idea was to pop the question mid-flight. This is exactly what he did while in the air the pilot keep quiet and Kershen asked the girl of his dreams to marry him! She said YES! The pilot congratulated them over the radio as it was such exciting news! What happened next, we did not plan… There was an air show that was close by and with that, all the pilots got on the radio to say congrats! Apparently, some planes were even flying next to them to give them a show… we can plan everything but some things are out of our control, so much fun!! 🙂

The next surprise was after they landed, family members were standing on the airstrip to say congrats! When they got out there was so much excitement and love. The bubbly was poured and they celebrated this happy moment. After this, they all went for lunch to celebrate further.
