As tradition goes many will spoil their loved ones with gifts and romantic gestures or proclaim their undying love as a secret admirer.
Valentine’s Day has been around for centuries, and created by the mysterious St. Valentine during the 3rd century A.D in Rome.
Interesting Fact: Approximately 150 million Valentine’s Day cards are exchanged annually, making Valentine’s Day the second most popular card-sending holiday after Christmas.

INGREDIENTS
- 200g plain chocolate , melted
- 50g plain flour
- 500g shortcrust pastry pack , rolled out to the thickness of a 20p piece and used to line 4 x 10cm tart tins
- 4 eggs
- coco & icing sugar for dusting
- 75g butter , melted
- 100g golden caster sugar
METHOD
Heat the oven to 180 degrees
Bake the pastry blind for 12 minutes
Mix 3/4 of the melted chocolate with the eggs, butter, sugar and flour
Pour into the pastry cases
Bake for 6-8 minutes until just set
Decorate with the remaining chocolate and dust with cocoa
Add the heart by using icing sugar
