Charlene and Jordan wedding
On the 17th of February 2024, this lovely couple tied the knot!
They got married at Idiom Winery which is situated in the mountains of Somerset West. This winery boasts views of mountains, the ocean, and vineyards. We just adore this venue for this ease of space and modern feeling.
The 93 guests traveled mostly from Joburg to celebrate with Charlene and Jordan. It was an early start for the ceremony on the lawns, as Charlene wanted the guests to enjoy the day as much as possible. The music by Fynbos Ensemble string quartet played while guests arrived. They both got dressed off-site, at lovely guest houses in the area. Charlene arrived in style in a bridal car, with her bridal party in tow. After meeting Jordan down the aisle, they said their vows and were married by Peter Fox, one of our favorite officiants.
After the ceremony, we set up the pre-drinks on the lawns below the restaurant. The wonderful Dan Vee flew out from Joburg to entertain the guests. He also stayed to sing their first dance song, which was magic. Idiom set up a delicious harvest table with a satellite bar for the drink service. Gold Otter supplied the 360-degree photobooth which was so much fun. The videos are memories to keep forever.
The reception was held in the main restaurant, which Marida from Paradiso Flowers decorated beautifully. She had a clear vision from the start, of linens draped, emerald greens, and golds with mixed textures. Charlene knew what she wanted from the start, and the brief was met with perfection. Idiom served their best food and the staff was phenomenal. After some beautiful speeches and a sneaky sunset shoot, the couple cut the cake and ventured outside to the d-floor.
The dance floor was set up under a marquee tent on the side lawn, this was to create more space and have another area to boogie. The only issue was the wind did come up but luckily the tent was in place to keep it warmer. The guests danced the night away until the last song where the couple exited as Mr & Mrs Sarkis.
Congrats to the happy couple, we wish you a long and happy life together in Cape Town.
