Danique and Divan Franschhoek Proposal

On the 27th of March 2021, Danique and Divan got engaged.

This lovely couple has been together for almost 3 years and live and work in Joburg but were coming down to Cape Town on holiday.

The one thing we can say is that Divan is one romantic guy. He wanted EVERYTHING for Danique, he knew exactly what she loves. To name a few, strawberries, macaroons, puzzles, etc.

After long discussions about what she likes, he told us she loves Italy. At that point, we knew he would love La Residence in Franschhoek. They luckily had availability on their date, this was great news. We then chatted about adding in lots of her favourite items, this was important for him.

To name a few; we created a personalised puzzle. These puzzle pieces were placed in boxes which she collected along the way. Attached to the boxes were love notes, Divan really took time to write these beautiful notes.

We put together a grand cake stand filled with chocolate strawberries, macaroons, and Lindt balls. He knew she would love this element so a “high tea” was in place.

That afternoon, they arrived Danique was handed a basket, collect the boxes, and arrived at the tea house. She then opened boxes and put together the puzzle, the last box was given to her after the proposal. Divan was so excited to pop the question, once the puzzle was completed. SHE SAID YES! Divan purchased the engagement ring from Ogilvie gems, it was an emerald, as this is her favourite stone and colour.

They enjoyed a high tea in the afternoon, followed by a private dinner where the family joined in the celebration. This was yet, another surprise for Danique, a very special day indeed.
