This lovely couple celebrated their wedding on 18^th November 2023.

Neriska and Tom live in Dubai and choose the stunning La Paris to get married.

La Paris is situated between Paarl and Franschhoek. We have worked at this venue a few times and we fall in love every time.

They invited only their closest family which made up this intimate wedding of 40 guests. This is a perfect venue, as all guests had space to sleep onsite using the accommodation.

We booked the talented, Kirsten Murphy to do the ladies’ hair and Make-up. We can all agree that the bride and their bridal party looked beautiful.

The ceremony was held at the Arbour which has views of the mountains in the background. Oriane from Oriative Floral designed an arch filled with white flowers. Barry, one of our favourite marriage officers married them under African skies.

We used the teahouse for the pre-drinks area, which worked well with the bar at the back and then it flowed onto the grass. Sean from V-art entertained their guests by doing caricatures for each guest as a keepsake.

They opted to use the lawn area, where we placed a clear tent which used for the reception venue. N-Concepts created the most beautiful hanging greenery with flowers over the dance floor. They also brought in all the furniture for the lounge pockets and made up the reception tables. Me & Mr Green, the band, played all night long to entertain the guests with their live performance.

On Thursday 6^th April 2023, Stacey and Richard got married. What a wonderful celebration of family, love, and joy.

Stacey and Richard reside in the UK, Stacey is originally from New Zealand, and Richard is from South Africa. They had a long journey to get to their wedding day, Covid interfered with their plans along the way. At the start, we began planning their wedding with venue ideas and once they had seen a few, lockdowns were happening so they decided to postpone until further notice. After 2 years, they returned and we continued the planning. They were toying with the idea of getting married in Plett, but Cape Town was the chosen city. They viewed quite a few wedding venues and finally decide to book La Paris.

La Paris is a stunning venue between Paarl and Franschhoek. We love this venue as it is adaptable to any couple and style. They have a large open lawn where a marquee or tent can be erected. Stacey choose a Bedouin tent which suited their look & feel of simple and fun.

During the wedding wait, they actually got married abroad and started a family. Their little boy, Caleb was to be included in the wedding. He is just too cute! This meant their wedding was more of a celebration, rather than saying I do’s. They opted for many wedding traditions but included elements of fun.

The ceremony took place in the rose garden, with 92 guests who came from all over the world. They asked a good friend to officiate the wedding ceremony, who shared the couple’s personal stories. After throwing the confetti, it was time to get the party started.

The pre-drinks were held at The Arbour lawn area, we set up a bar with canapés being served. The guests enjoyed some time to mingle while the couple went for their couple shoot with the photographer.

The colours and style were sage greens, white creams, and natural tones. From the gorgeous oranges tones of the seasonal local flowers to the natural oak dance floor, it suited this down-to-earth couple. N-concepts did a great job with the flowers and décor elements.

We booked the band, Me & Mr. Green who played live sets at the reception, they are amazing at getting the party started. The tent looked festive with fairy lights, a full moon, and a packed dance floor.

Congrats to Stacey and Richard, we hope they had as much fun as we did planning their wedding. They were a delight to work with and an easy-go-lucky couple who deserve only the best. Wishing them success and happiness in their future adventures.

Jade & Anthony got married on the 24th of February 2022 at Belair Pavilion.

We first met this happy couple to plan their proposal, after they got engaged, we had the honor of planning their wedding. This was one of our first Jewish weddings and we absolutely loved planning it. They trusted us to plan a perfect wedding. Antony, being in the events industry knew a few suppliers that could offer them their best service. Jade was one of the most relaxed brides and was super to work with.

After going through a few venue options, they booked Belair, they loved the open glass pavilion and its beautiful gardens. A stunning venue in the Paarl, situated next to Spice route. We booked only the best vendors to work with us for this wonderful wedding.

On the day, Jade got dressed with her girls at the venue. Anthony was booked in at Diamant estate to dress with the groomsmen. The bedeken was held at Belair, this is the first time they see each other on the day, it is the most wonderful tradition. The family and bridal party all gather around to celebrate this moment.

“The bedeken is the veiling of the bride by her groom-to-be. It’s an intimate moment where the groom reverently covers her face with the veil. It is to symbolize that they are two distinct people even in marriage and that he values her inner beauty.”

After this, they all walk down the aisle, men first, followed by the ladies. Where the ceremony begins with the Rabbi. The other tradition is dancing during pre-drinks, this is when the wedding party all gathers on the dancefloor to celebrate the couple’s love. This is known as hora dancing.

“The hora is a traditional dance performed at Jewish weddings where the newlyweds are lifted into the air while their family and friends dance in circles around them. During the hora, the couple each holds one end of a handkerchief or napkin to signify their union.”

The pre-drinks were held on the lawns with floating canapes. The acoustic element played music with the DJ as a backup. The reception was in the grass venue, which was decored by N-concepts. A highlight of the decor was the flower wall behind the bride & groom, AMAZING. Speeches were done by various family and friends, and we could see the love in the room. The DJ’s led the party into full swing and dancing mode by the time we left that night.

Congrats to this fabulous couple, a full journey with them and we hope to plan more romantic events in your future. All the best for your future as Mr & Mrs. Jade and Ant Wedding will be remembered for a long time.

On the 24th August 2019, Arthur and Rutendo said I DO!

We assisted this wonderful couple with their proposal which can be viewed on our blog. After being engaged for a few months they decided a small wedding celebration was in order. They first got in touch to assist them in finding a wedding venue that met their brief. The venue needed to be in Constantia, with a private area for a dinner of 24 guests. After sending some options through, The Cellars Hohenort was chosen.

The guests list extended to their closest family and friends which created a very special intimate wedding. They got married at St Michael’s Church in Rondebosch, followed by drinks on the lawns then dinner at the venue. A private venue was booked thus thy had lots of speeches throughout the evening.

They have very talented friends who offered to play some live music on the night. A wonderful gift to the couple, as they sang and played all evening.

Jilda, we booked as the photographer to capture their wedding. As you can see, she did a wonderful job of capturing their special moments.

The couple’s brief for decor & flowers was keeping it simple with fresh flowers and lots of candles. The colours scheme being blush pink and gold. Coral created a magical floral array on one long table. It looked stunning! As the sunset, the candles were lit and the wedding party enjoyed a 3-course dinner.

The wedding cake was made by Wade which are always delicious. The cake comprised of two tiers, one layer being Poppyseed and the other chocolate. Guests could enjoy the cake later on in the evening.

The Wedding of Arthur and Rutendo was magical, wishing this wonderful couple a happy future together. We hope to plan the next exciting “event” in your life.
