“Dear The Perfect Proposal team,

I was overwhelmed at first when I realized I had to propose soon to my girlfriend at the time. So I googled  ‘best proposal place in Durban’ and The Perfect Proposal website came up.

At first, I was sceptical about the idea of getting an events planner, but as it turned out, it was one of the best experiences I’ve had. Many of us have busy and demanding jobs and I needed professional assistance.

My now fiancé was surprised and over joyed at the whole idea of what Jacqui and Courtney did for us. A perfect hike that ended with a perfect little mountain top proposal. I was reassured that everything will be taken care of and I should not worry about anything. I did just that and everything was perfect. Hence the company’s name ” Perfect Proposal.”

Yatheen and Sanam got engaged on the 27^th October 2018 and it was the perfect proposal.

When Yatheen first contacted us he knew he wanted to do something really special for Sanam. They had just celebrated their 6^th anniversary together and he knew he wanted to surprise her with a proposal she would never forget! We had great fun coming up with this idea for Yatheen! On Saturday, they both arrived at the Oyster Box Spa to get manicures. Yatheen’s treatment finished just before Sanam’s and so he left the room and told her he would meet her in reception. But when Sanam finished up, he was nowhere to be seen and she got handed her first treasure hunt clue to find him 😊 Her hunt led her to the Library where there was a box of memories waiting for her. Each memory was in a numbered envelope with polaroid pictures we had printed. The last memory was directions to the gazebo where Yatheen was waiting on one knee.

We decorated the gazebo with fairy lights, wooden signs with love quotes, balloons, a Marry Me sign, her favourite flowers, rose petals and candelabras. It looked AMAZING and every passerby stopped to take pictures – we had to chase a few away as Sanam was about to arrive!

She was overwhelmed when she saw the gazebo and Yatheen! And she laughed the whole way down the path to reach him. It was so great to see two people so happy with other.

They then had a photoshoot together before enjoying a candlelit 4-course dinner in the gazebo for the evening.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Yatheen and we wish them all the best as they plan their wedding and lives together. Yatheen and Sanam incredible Oyster Box proposal will be remembered for a long time.

George contacted us to plan a proposal during the family’s holiday in Umkomaas that would be simple, romantic and unforgettable. Sancha’s parents were out visiting from the UK, so it was a very special week away where the whole family was together. Knowing how much her family meant to Sancha, George knew he wanted to pop the question during their holiday and he wanted to include them in the proposal. The plan was to set up a proposal on the beach at Durban’s South Coast. It was incredibly special as they were surrounded by their family the whole time.

We woke up on the big day to dark skies and relentless rain. Holding thumbs throughout the morning, we saw a perfect break in the clouds where we could set up on Umkomaas’s beautiful beach. The lighting of the sky and sea after the rain was exquisite, making for an even more magical beach proposal.

We made signs with cute love quotes and stuck them in the sand leading up to a picnic set up with flowers, cupcakes and bubbly. Each of Sancha’s family members then held up chalk board signs with the words “will you marry me” on each sign.

As George led Sancha down the beach path, the set up was in front of her, where he dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him surrounded by loved ones. She of course said yes! The family all enjoyed the bubbly and cupcakes on the beach, while taking in the breathtaking Natal coastal views, taking pictures and celebrating this treasured moment together.
